    Adolescent Behavioral Health

    Our 16-bed inpatient service for adolescents is Northern California’s most comprehensive and fully integrated psychiatry facility for adolescents age 12 to 17. The program offers a comprehensive eating disorders program and a dual diagnosis program. Call (510) 204-4405.

    Downtown Youth Clinic (DYC)

    The East Bay AIDS Center (EBAC) is the only HIV medical program in Alameda and Contra Costa counties with a designated HIV youth clinic. The goals of DYC are to provide state-of-the-art primary HIV healthcare, case management, peer advocacy, and treatment advocacy to East Bay youth.     Eating Disorders Program

    Alta Bates Summit Medical Center’s Eating Disorders Program has an excellent track record in treating adolescents suffering from anorexia nervosa or bulimianervosa.     Outpatient Psychiatric Program

    This structured day program treats adolescents with psychiatric illness as well as those dealing with alcohol or substance abuse and eating disorders. Call (510) 204-4569.

    Thunder Road

    Short-term Inpatient Program
    Designed for youth between the ages of 13 and 19, the program assists those involved in the habitual abuse of nicotine, alcohol, or drugs.

    Long-term Residential Program and Day Treatment Services
    The long-term program accepts referrals from county government agencies for youth involved in the chronic abuse of nicotine, alcohol, or drugs who also need to make fundamental improvements in their social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.

    Outpatient Services
    Thunder Road’s comprehensive Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) meets 10 evening hours per week. Call (510) 653-5040.
